This was an experimental piece that I had a lot of fun with. It was my first time trying to replicate a style digitally, cause I've done drawing challenges traditionally before, but never digitally. I honestly, truly wanted it to look as much like Horikoshi's style as possible, mixed in with some Bones (the anime studio responsible for the My Hero Academia anime) flare. It honestly wasn't super difficult for me as much as it was time consuming. It took me approximately three days, give or take some hours, so I just had to be patient with the process since I was trying to accommodate to a style so drastically different from my own. The biggest change I noticed was the line weight, and how I had to change how I inked as far as hand movement. I'm usually rather heavy handed, because I like thick, black lines, but for this I used an off-black color and handled the line art very delicately while being conscious of the varying thickness. I usually like a lot of variance, but I couldn't do that with this project.
This also is a MHA/BNHA OC of mine. I really like creating OCs. For MHA/BNHA alone I have....63? Yeah, 63, at least. I know that that might seem like a little much, but in my defense, I have created an entire school in the MHA/BNHA universe in my head and my logic is to fill it up with students and teachers alike...so, yeah.
