For my art history class, we had a creative project where we had to take an art piece that was done before the 15th century, and not done by a European or colonized American person, and do an artistic interpretation of it. We were allowed to write stories, do makeup, and etc. I chose to redraw a piece from 14th century Korea, which is, "The Seated Willow-Branch Gwanse'eum Bosal (The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara)".
